MTS IFRS revenue rises 4.9% to 129 bln rbl in July–September

MOSCOW, Nov 17 (PRIME) -- Revenue of major Russian mobile operator MTS rose 4.9% on the year to 129 billion rubles in July–September, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Tuesday in a report.

Adjusted operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) increased 3.3% to 58.5 billion rubles. Operating profit added 1.8% to 33.2 billion rubles. The profit attributable to the company’s owners went up 2.3% to 18.8 billion rubles.

Cash capital expenditures rose 7.4% to 23.4 billion rubles.

Net debt narrowed by 1.5% to 302.4 billion rubles.

“We successfully overcame COVID-19 headwinds and achieved group revenue growth of 4.9% year-over-year, reaching 129 billion rubles. Notably, our segments beyond connectivity – Fintech, Media, and Cloud & Digital Solutions – outpaced core telecom services and contributed more than half of year-over-year top-line growth,” CEO Alexei Kornya said.

“Given our strong July–September results, as well as our increased visibility toward year-end 2020, we are upgrading our full-year guidance to revenue growth of at least +3% from flat to 3% and flat to 2% growth in adjusted OIBDA from -2% to flat, while maintaining our cash CAPEX guidance of around 90 billion rubles for the year.”
